Essay
Chokhmah stands at the head of the pillar of mercy, the first emanation to take a side after the Crown's undivided light. It receives directly from Keter and gives at once to Binah across the top of the Tree, and down its own pillar toward Chesed; it is the flash before the form, the seed-point of a whole that has not yet been drawn out. To draw Wisdom is to be met by an impulse that is real precisely because it has not yet been explained.
Its virtue is devotion: the readiness to give one's whole self to the first true thing seen, before caution has had time to hedge it. Its shadow is that same current with no vessel — a formless impulse, inspiration gushing endlessly while refusing every form that might carry it into the world. Lived, the question is whether your flashes of insight are being offered a place to land, or only admired as they pass.
When Wisdom is drawn, treat it as contemplation rather than a promise of what will come. Recall, as its meditation counsels, an intuition you have not yet reasoned about, and stay with its original shape before explanation arrives to tidy it. Notice what wants to begin in you without demanding, yet, that it justify itself. The name gathered here, Y-ah, marks the barest opening of that outpouring; let it remind you that a beginning honoured too roughly, or seized too fast, loses the very freshness that made it worth heeding.

Which doors border this sephira depends on the arrangement. Both the Gra/Ari (default) and Golden Dawn schemes are shown; the doctrinal difference is not hidden — it is a matter of lineage, not error.
