Terms of Service

The short version: this is an instrument for contemplation, not fortune-telling. Points can always be earned for free, paying buys depth rather than destiny, and your writing remains yours.

Who runs this service

MANIFOLD GATES (manifoldgates.com) is operated by Tosia Stewart, an individual based in the United States (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

What this service is — and is not

MANIFOLD GATES is an instrument for contemplation and self-reflection built on symbolic traditions. It is not fortune-telling. Readings describe structures for reflection; they make no claims about fate and are not medical, financial, legal, or psychological advice. Decisions you make remain yours.

If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or local emergency services — this instrument is not a substitute for either.

Who may use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, or at least 16 if you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you are under 18, you may make purchases only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

Accounts

You can use the site anonymously; an account simply makes your history durable and portable. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in email, phone number, or linked accounts.

You may delete your records at any time. You may also delete your entire account, but if a Pro subscription is still running, cancel it with the payment provider first; the account can be deleted once the period you paid for has ended. Deletion is permanent, and copies in our backups expire within 28 days (see the Privacy page).

Points

Points are what you spend on the site: a cast, an AI reading (at any depth), a follow-up question, unlocking a book chapter or a points-only article, and feedback beyond your first note of the day each cost points. The cost is shown before you spend.

You can earn points for free — for example through the welcome grant, daily check-ins, registering, journaling, inviting friends, or feedback we adopt — or buy them in top-up packs. Pro includes a monthly points allowance.

Points are not money. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, or sold, and exist only inside your account. Points you earn or buy do not expire while the service operates; points included with Pro are valid for the billing period they belong to and lapse when it ends.

Deleting your account permanently removes its points, including any you bought, so ask for any refund you are owed before you delete.

We may adjust or remove points obtained through abuse (for example automated farming) and points from a purchase that is refunded or charged back. If top-up points were already spent, your balance may go below zero; for Pro, only the unspent part of that period's allowance is removed.

Purchases, Pro, and refunds

Purchases are processed by the payment provider shown at checkout. Payment details are handled entirely by that provider and never reach our servers; depending on the provider, it may also appear as the seller on your receipt and handle sales tax. Prices are shown before you pay.

Pro is a subscription billed on the cycle shown at checkout. It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and Pro continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

Refunds: a top-up can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if none of its points have been spent. A Pro subscription can be refunded in full within 14 days of its first charge if none of its included points have been used. A charge made in error is always refunded if you tell us within 14 days of the charge. Renewal charges are otherwise not refundable once the new period has begun.

To ask for a refund, write to the address below from the email on your account (or, if you sign in by phone, include that number). When a purchase is refunded, the points it added are removed; for Pro, that means whatever remains of that period's allowance.

Nothing here limits refund or withdrawal rights you have under the law of the country where you live.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, evade quotas or rate limits, scrape at scale, probe other users' data, or use the AI readings to generate harmful content. We may suspend accounts that do.

Your content and ours

Your questions and journal entries remain yours; you give us permission only to store and process them as needed to operate the service, as described on the Privacy page.

The site's texts — encyclopedia, articles, and the book — are original work and may not be republished wholesale without permission. Quoting with attribution is welcome.

Service changes and liability

The service is provided as-is. Features (including the AI models used), prices, and the points cost of each item may change; changes apply from then on. Points already in your account keep their balance, and chapters or articles you have unlocked stay unlocked.

We are not liable for indirect damages; our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing here limits rights that your local law does not allow to be limited.

We may update these terms; material changes will be shown on this page with a new date below.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be heard by the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
