Minor Arcana · Wands

Six of Wands

The win is public, and public is part of it.

Upright · Reversed

Keywords: recognition, the visible win
Upright: Success acknowledged by others. Real, and load-bearing only as long as the thing beneath it is.
Reversed: Applause taken as proof; or a real win no one thought to name.

In a three-card spread

In the Past position: Read as what is still exerting force — not what happened, but the part of it still pushing on the present.
In the Present position: Read as what is currently available, and where you actually stand. The spread usually turns on this card.
In the Future position: Read as tendency: where this leans if nothing changes. A statement about the present phrased as a direction — never a claim about what will happen.

Wands · Element: Fire

Wands govern drive: will, enthusiasm, the force that starts things. Their question is not whether a thing is right but whether there is still fire for it. Wands trouble is usually excess — burning too fast, carrying too much, charging in a direction nobody tested.

Its rank

Six

Six is recovery after the Five: giving, crossing, being seen. Not a return to before — going on, carrying the Five's mark.
