Six Doors · No. 61
第61卦 中孚 Zhōng Fú · Inner Truth
Essence: Truth from the center reaches even the unreachable.
I
Judgment
Real persuasive power comes from truth at the center—it reaches even the least reachable, the pigs and the fishes. First set aside your own bias and genuinely understand the other; then let inner honesty speak for itself. On that footing, even the great crossing can be made.

The lines
- Line 1Inwardly settled and prepared, all is well; harbor a secret second agenda, and your peace is gone.
- Line 2A crane calls from the shade and its young answer unbidden: what is said in true sincerity finds its own resonance, like fine wine that longs to be shared.
- Line 3Making another person your center of gravity leaves you drumming then halting, weeping then singing, at the mercy of their moods.
- Line 4Like the moon nearing full that does not rival the sun, like the horse that quits its team to serve its master alone—turning toward the higher allegiance is no fault.
- Line 5Truthfulness that binds people firmly together—in the leading position, exactly this and nothing less is blameless.
- Line 6A rooster's crow trying to climb to heaven: words and reputation outreaching substance, and persisting in it ends badly.
