Six Doors · No. 23
第23卦 剥 Bō · Splitting Apart
Essence: Erosion runs its course; guard the uneaten seed.
Judgment
The erosion has climbed from the foundation and is still climbing; any forward move now works against you. This is not a battle to win but a season to outlast—contract, hold still, keep your resources for the year to come. A mountain stands because its base is broad: thickening the base is the only work left.

The lines
- Line 1The bed's legs are eaten away first: undermining always begins at the lowest, least visible point.
- Line 2The rot reaches the bed frame—closer now, and you have no allies; seeing the danger plainly is the only defense left.
- Line 3Placed among the strippers yet privately loyal to what is being stripped—you lose your faction and keep your integrity.
- Line 4The destruction reaches the sleeper's skin; the harm is no longer approaching—it has arrived.
- Line 5Like fish strung in a line, the eroding forces are led upward in order and granted favor—destruction converted into rank and restraint.
- Line 6One great fruit survives uneaten, seed intact: the generous inherit a carriage out of the ruin, while the strippers tear the roof from over their own heads.
